This wedding invitation commission began with illustrations of the wedding venues: a regal church and a quaint Long Island Inn. Using digital watercolors, we illustrated both venues in a watercolor wash and vignette style. Then we began designing the couple’s monogram with floral accents and their initials in a modern calligraphy style. These watercolor and floral monogram elements were then used to inspire the rest of the invitation collection.

The first item in the collection was the Save The Date that exhibited the watercolor wedding venue. These were sent in lovely envelopes with custom address calligraphy.

The full invitation suite included the invitation card, a reception details card, an RSVP card (that also included the watercolor elements) and envelope addressing. To carry the floral elements throughout the suite, the wreath monogram was used on several cards and other floral swashes and flourishes were added throughout.
