The Process

This wedding paper goods project started with sketching the floral designs that would be a part of all the paper goods. Using heavily flourished initials, we designed a floral wreath monogram for the couple. The invitation also included floral embellishments from the early sketches.

The funnest part about this wedding calligraphy project was the day of goods. We got to the do calligraphy for the welcome mirror that greeted all the guests at the reception hall. I love doing calligraphy on mirrors because its usually a surprising medium for guests to see (although it is quite hard to photograph). We also got to design the table numbers and two other reception cards including the bar menu that had custom signature drink illustrations and a unique “Kissing Game” with instructions in calligraphy.
